Collector shows off film posters

NHA TRANG — A Vietnamese-American film lover is exhibiting more than 1,000 items, including signed posters by famous movie stars, at a four-day event in the coastal city of Nha Trang.

Nguyen Thanh Liem says his collection, amassed over 30 years, contains more than 3,000 posters, of which 2,000 are signed.

Many of the portraits, some dating back to the 1950s, are signed by Hollywood film stars such as Ronald Reagan, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Johnny Depp.

Liem’s ownership of a distribution system of clothing and filmmaking equipment in Hollywood helped him gain access to many posters and stamps related to the movie industry.
