QUẢNG NINH — A cross-provincial coastal tour connecting Hạ Long Bay in Quảng Ninh and Lan Hạ Bay in Hải Phòng officially launched on April 1, expanding tourism options for visitors.
This is an important step in implementing the two localities' commitment to promoting the values of Hạ Long Bay and Cát Ba Archipelago, the first inter-provincial Vietnamese site listed by UNESCO as a world heritage site.
Vice Chairwoman of the Quảng Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Thị Hạnh said that opening this tour route not only creates significant development potential for the two localities but also helps enhance the heritage value of the area.
According to the World Heritage Management Board, Hạ Long Bay is expected to receive an additional 5,000 to 6,000 visitors per day from the launch of the cross-provincial tour, with more than 50 overnight boats coming from Lan Hạ Bay. — VNS
