HÀ NỘI — With an eye on greener pastures, the Việt Nam International Tourism Mart (VITM) is not only offering discounted tour packages but also giving businesses room to grow, adapt and go green as the industry shifts towards more sustainable travel.
In addition to drawing visitors with discounted tour packages, the VITM 2026 also serves as a platform for businesses to introduce new products, adapt to rapidly evolving market trends and pursue sustainable development goals.
This year's event takes place at the Hà Nội International Centre for Exhibition from April 9-12 under the theme of Digital Transformation & Green Growth Elevating Vietnamese Tourism.
Among the various forms of tourism, green and responsible travel is gaining increasing attention from both individual travellers and corporate groups. More and more, they are prioritising travel experiences that emphasise sustainability, environmental awareness and social responsibility.
This shift has created new momentum for the tourism industry, especially in the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) segment, where conference and experiential programmes are increasingly designed to be green and in-depth.
According to industry experts, the trend of combining conferences with business travel and heritage exploration is booming. Large corporations, in particular, are increasingly prioritising tourism products that incorporate sustainable development principles, align with environmental, social and governance strategies and reflect a strong commitment to social responsibility.
