HÀ NỘI — Hà Nội FC has set its sights on achieving a V.League 1 and National Cup double as the 2025 – 26 season approaches.

During a send-off ceremony on August 13, the Purple demonstrated its unity and resolve for the season ahead.

“In the last two decades, Hà Nội FC have gradually affirmed our position in the national football community, becoming the pride of the capital's sport in particular and Việt Nam in general,” said club President Đỗ Vinh Quang. He added that their success is the result of collective effort from leadership, coaching staff, players, sponsors and supporters.

“Every new season is a new journey of challenges and difficulties and full of opportunities. Besides aiming for the best results, Hà Nội FC will promise to play with the highest spirit and leave strong impression in the hearts of national supporters. When wearing our jersey, players will always keep their eyes on winning which is our greatest desire. I wish the whole team a lucky and successful season.”

In preparation for their title campaign, Hà Nội FC have bolstered their squad with key signings, including forward Hendrio Araújo da Silva, defender Adriel da Silva, and midfielder Willian Maranhao. These new additions are expected to support established core players such as captain Nguyễn Văn Quyết, defenders Đỗ Hùng Dũng, Đỗ Duy Mạnh, Nguyễn Thành Chung, midfielder Nguyễn Hai Long, and striker Nguyễn Tuấn Hải.

“Hendrio is registered as a naturalized player this season. Currently, we are urgently completing the naturalization procedures for him,” said Executive Director Nguyễn Quốc Tuấn.

He added that it was part of the club’s efforts to support its title ambitions in both the V.League 1 and the National Cup, as promised to supporters and football fans of the capital city.

It is believed that with such promising new faces, Hà Nội can fairly compete for the championship title against strong opponents such as Thép Xanh Nam Định, Hà Nội Police and Viettel-Thể Công.

“We have been working hard in preparation for the leagues. Every player must show their determination and professionalism," said coach Makoto Teguramori.

"We understand that there are challenges in football but our solidarity, perseverance and desire to win will be the key for us to achieve the best results in the upcoming season.”

In the first round of the V.League 1, Hà Nội will face HCM City at Thống Nhất Stadium on August 16.

Around a month later, they will take on Thể Công-Viettel at Mỹ Đình Stadium in the National Cup.

In its history, Hà Nội has won six V.League 1 titles (2010, 2013, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2022), three National Cups (2019, 2020, 2022) and five Super Cups (2010, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022). The team has also represented Việt Nam in the AFC Champions League and the AFC Cup.

Also during the send-off ceremony, Hà Nội unveiled their three kits for the new season.

They will continue to wear their traditional purple home jersey, introduced in 2016. For away matches, they will sport yellow and white kits, featuring modern and dynamic designs.

At the same time, the club officially opened its Hà Nội FC Store, dedicated to football, where supporters can find a range of souvenirs such as jerseys, accessories and commemorative publications associated with the club’s image.

The store also serves as a meeting place for the fan community, hosting interactive activities such as autograph sessions, player meet-and-greets and the introduction of new shirt models.

The launch of the official store, located in Stand A of Hàng Đẫy Stadium, is part of the club’s strategy to develop its brand and strengthen its connection with fans. — VNS
