HCM CITY — The 22nd Travel Fair will take place from April 2 to 5 at September 23 Park in HCM City, featuring hundreds of products, services, and special offers for the summer season.

The event themed “Vibrant Summer Fest” will bring together over 100 travel agencies, hotels, airlines, and service providers, with nearly 130 booths showcasing tourism, culture, and cuisine.

Tourism promotion agencies from more than 20 cities and provinces will participate in the fair to promote regional linkages.

The event also includes the “2026 Tourism Job Fair” which connects businesses and job seekers, updates workforce trends, and promotes the development of high-quality human resources for the tourism industry.

There will be tourism discussions, and art and culinary programmes during the event.

Speaking at a press briefing on Tuesday, Lê Trương Hiền Hòa, deputy director of the city’s Department of Tourism, the event’s organiser, said the fair is aimed at stimulating tourism demand during the summer.

It is also an opportunity for businesses to introduce new products to locals and tourists amidst recovering and growing demand for tourism while locals and tourists have more choices with attractive offers and quality services.

The city’s tourism sector gives favourable conditions for businesses to develop new and unique products that meet market demands, he said.

Nguyễn Thị Khánh, chairwoman of the HCM City Tourism Association, said the city’s potential for tourism development remains huge following its merger with Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu and Bình Dương provinces.

Following the merger, tourism activities are now linked with neighbouring districts, leading to a greater diversity of tourism products, Khánh said.

She emphasised that the city will strive to develop attractive tourism products to retain visitors for longer periods while also increasing their spending.

Huỳnh Phan Phương Hoàng, deputy general director of Vietravel Company, said that her company has prepared more than 10,000 inbound and outbound tourism products and services.

During the upcoming April 30 holiday, the company is coordinating with airlines to maintain stable prices, Hoàng said.

She hopes that the event will create an effective connection between businesses, management agencies, and customers. —VNS
