National Taekwondo Club Championship opens in Thái Nguyên

THÁI NGUYÊN — The National Taekwondo Club Championship - 2025 South Korean Ambassador's Cup began in Thái Nguyên Province on Thursday evening.

The championship features 1,460 athletes and coaches from 46 units across the country. The athletes will compete for 226 sets of medals in both combat and performance events across different weight categories.

In his opening speech, Đoàn Văn Công, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thái Nguyên Province, emphasised that the tournament is an opportunity for athletes to gain experience and showcase their talents.

It is also a chance for the organising committee to assess the technical and tactical skills of the athletes, which will help discover and select outstanding athletes for the national taekwondo team in preparation for upcoming international competitions.

The competition will run until September 15. — VNS
