HCM CITY — Renaissance Hotels is offering Vietnamese and international guests opportunities to explore local culture through craft, food and performances at its properties in Việt Nam.

At Renaissance Danang Hoi An Resort & Spa this weekend, guests can discover Hội An through local artisans, agricultural traditions and creative workshops. Activities include silk eco-printing with Gomee Collective, wet-plate portraits with Mot Met Studio and workshops inspired by the region’s farming heritage.

The evening programme features local artist Minh’s “Cowcycle” collection, a traditional rice-pounding performance and the hotel’s Silk Road Punch Bowl Ritual.

At Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon on Saturday, guests can explore Vietnamese craftsmanship and regional cuisine. They can meet woodblock printmaker and illustrator Jack Clayton, who has lived in HCM City for 14 years, and take part in activities including woodblock printing on traditional dó paper, indigo dyeing with Saigon Indigo, conical hat painting and mosaic making.

The experience also includes dishes inspired by local ingredients from Việt Nam’s north to south, followed by the hotel’s Tropical Silk Punch Bowl Ritual in the evening.

The activities are part of Renaissance Day of Discovery 2026, the brand’s annual celebration of cultural curiosity and neighbourhood exploration.

Renaissance hotels has also partnered with Indonesian bartender Demitria “Demi” Dana Paramita to create a collection of beverage rituals inspired by local ingredients, cultural traditions and creative collaborations. The collection aims to reflect the character of each destination through familiar flavours and traditions.

The rituals will debut during Renaissance Day of Discovery 2026, which is taking place at participating Renaissance Hotels across the Asia-Pacific region including Việt Nam in October and November. This year’s theme, “Layers of Discovery”, invites guests to explore destinations through discoveries led by hotel Navigators, encounters with local makers and experiences celebrating neighbourhood creativity. — VNS
