Citadel''s archaeological site on Hoang Dieu Street, was launched in Ha
Noi yesterday.
Artifacts left by prehistoric men from the late Palaeolithic Age have
been discovered at the Sua Can Ty archaeological site in Quan Ba
District, in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang.
Researchers have found archaeological evidence that
early people in the northern mountainous regions of Cao Bang Province
were in contact with people in the coastal region, according to a source
from the Viet Nam Archaeological Institute.
The remains of a unique Cham tower have been found
in Phong Le Village, Cam Le District in the central city of Da Nang, an
area not known for Cham relics.
Archaeologists from the Viet Nam Archaeological
Institute and Tuyen Quang Museum unearthed several relics in Son Duong
district of Tuyen Quang province in an excavation early this year, said
Ly Manh Thang, deputy director of the provincial museum.
The Ha Noi People''s Committee yesterday unveiled a
master plan on preserving the site of the ancient Thang Long Imperial
Citadel and developing part of the area into a culture and history park.
The Trang An Tourism Complex in the northern
province of Ninh Binh has great historical and geological value, experts
declared at an international workshop held here yesterday.
The Imperial Citadel of Thang Long will be named an
historical and cultural park under a plan approved recently by Prime
Minister Nguyen Tan Dung to promote the global value of the
1,300-year-old site in the centre of the capital city.
