Objects unearthed in excavations at the Thang Long Citadel Heritage site
in downtown Ha Noi since 2010 are being displayed to celebrate the
capital''s Liberation Day, which falls on October 10.
HCM City''s Museum of History has lent New York City''s Metropolitan
Museum of Art 20 objects to display under an agreement between the
Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the American museum.
Eighty photos featuring architecture and objects dating back to feudal
times found at literature temples across the country, are on display at
the Literature Temple in downtown Ha Noi.
Traces of prehistoric man have been found at the Na Mo Cave in the northern province of Bac Kan. Members
of the Viet Nam Archaeological Institute and the Bac Kan Museum have
been excavating the area for possible prehistoric remains since early
June.
