Folk art researchers from various countries will
join dozens of domestic scholars at an international workshop on
traditional Vietnamese music and folk singing, in the central province
of Nghe An.
A festival of vi dam singing, a style of folk
singing derived from repartees while working and popular in the central
provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh, will be held for the first time in
June in the city of Vinh.
