Calligraphy is no longer only a man''s occupation in Viet Nam, but the
image of a woman sitting and donating words to passersby is somehow
still unusual to many people.
Various contemporary art forms inspired by the Vietnamese do (poonah)
paper will be showcased at Hanoi Rock City this Sunday to celebration of
the traditional material.
In a classroom filled with the scent of lotus tea, students use brushes to write an ancient script. Some are teenagers others, like Nguyen Huu Dong, the oldest student in the class, are in their late 70s.
