Violinist Nguyen My Huong and pianist Dao Trong
Tuyen will perform in a concert on Wednesday to commemorate the 245th
birthday of composer Ludwig van Beethoven.
The Goethe Institute and Heart Beat, an event promoter and music label
producing underground music in HCM City, will present a concert
featuring underground deep techno music at The Observatory on September
11.
Nguyen The Son will present his latest installation artworks inspired
by his memories of the State subsidised economy at an exhibition that
will open on August 13 at the Goethe Institute.
Selected prints from novels by award winning German
graphic artist and author Reinhard Kleist are on display at an
exhibition at the Goethe Instiute in Ha Noi which runs until the end of
the month.
Two films, entitled Song to the Front and Viet Nam the Movie, by Nguyen Trinh Thi will be screened tonight at Ha Noi Goethe Institute, 56-58, Nguyen Thai Hoc Street.
On the evenings from March 23 to 25, the Goethe Institut in Ha Noi will
present the multiple award-winning films of director and screenwriter
Hannes Stohr, including Berlin Is in Germany, One Day in Europe and
Global Player.
Freelance pianist Boris Schonleber of Berlin will perform the music of
Richard Wagner, Richard Strauss and Frederic Chopin in a solo concert at
the Goethe Insititute on Saturday.
