The fifth International Documentary Film Festival is being hosted by the
Viet Nam National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio and the
European Union National Institute for Culture (EUNIC) in Ha Noi and HCM
City.
Viewers flooded a recent international documentary film festival in both
Ha Noi and HCM City, even though for a long time local audiences have
shown little interest in documentary film.
The 5th European-Vietnamese Documentary Film Festival will kick off tonight with a screening of Vietnamese director Hoang Dung''s documentary entitled Nguoi Tha Chieu Vao Tranh (Artist Draws Afternoon in Painting).
The fourth European-Vietnamese Documentary Film
Festival will take place in Ha Noi and Da Nang starting on Friday, with
screenings to continue until June 24. This will mark the first time that
Da Nang has co-hosted the festival.
Two seminars focusing on making documentaries for
television will open the first Southern Region TV Documentary Film
Festival in Dong Nai Province today.
