Việt Nam boxers seek Asian championship medals

HÀ NỘI — Nguyễn Huyền Trân and Phạm Thị Quỳnh Anh will represent Việt Nam at the 2026 Asian Boxing Elite Boxing Championships in Mongolia.

They are among nearly 250 fighters from 25 countries and regions, competing in 10 weight categories for men ranging from 47kg to over-90kg and 10 for women from 45kg to over-80kg.

Both Vietnamese boxers will vie for medals in the women's competitions.

Trân, who is one of the nation's most promising boxers, will fight in the 57kg event. She is the reigning silver medalist of the 33rd SEA Games. Earlier, she won bronze medals in the Asian U22 Boxing Championships in 2023 and 2025.

Quỳnh Anh will take part in the 48kg class. She is working hard in training to ensure a good result in Ulaanbaatar's ASA Arena.

The finals are scheduled to take place on April 9-10. — VNS
